Iphone 4 discharges while on charger

I am running ios 4.3.3 on a iphone 4 .i usually charge it overnight.the problem is that,the phone will charge up to 100% and then begins to drain while still on the wall charger. Anyone has any ideas here?? Help would be much appreciated.
