I have fixed countless iphones and I just recently ran into an encounter with an iPhone 4.
The screen was cracked, so I took the phone apart how you would normally do so. Upon re installing the battery and hitting the lock button, the screen showed no signs of life and the vibrator would not stop vibrating.. I end up taking it back apart to re install the known functioning LCD/Cracked screen combo. The screen did turn on, but it is really faded looking. The vibrating function kept going off, so I decided to uninstall that for the customer to use until the battery died. The phone was working, but kept dying and restarting, not normal. After around 2 hours, the screen went completely white and would not respond to touch, the lock or home buttons. Now the phone just says that it wants a charge and recognizes the charger, but won't turn on. Any help?
