Hi,
So, i bought an iPhone 4 off eBay last week with a damaged screen and the intentions to fix it myself to save some money. I replaced the screen and all seemed fine until i realised that there was a vertical strip of the screen that did not respond to touch. It is as if the digitizer has a gone dead down a specific strip. at first I assumed the replacement screen I bought was faulty, so I got another one (different supplier) and fitted it to the phone. However, the problem still remains and in exactly the same place, which tells me it is not a problem with the screens.
I have tried restoring the phone and DFU restoring to no avail.
Not sure what else I can do. Any ideas?
Many Thanks
BD
