I have heard that the battery is not the best on the dual core processor.

Battery life is about the same, even running a duel core processor and animated backgrounds. As far as hardware, the SGS2 is DIFFERENT than the iPhone 4, no better no worse. You get a faster processor, but it heats up when you put it to use. You get a bigger screen, but I found my self constantly zooming in on web pages to read stuff. It did look VERY nice playing angry birds, but again, the phone gets very hot. I can answer any other questions people may have. After a few months of using it, just yesterday, I reactivated my iPhone 4 and I'm much happier. It comes down to the software. Android is a great product, but they will always have compatibility issues. There are so many manufactures making so many devices that they all have different software issues. Apple devices, from computers to handsets, are completely made from in house products. Apple is able to have much better quality control one hardware and software. You pay a premium, but you are getting a premium quality product.
Bottom line, Apple stuff will give you less head ache.
Being a dual core processor, it will consume more battery. Smart phones do have high resolutions and more App. That for sure consumes battery. But the iphone is much better than Samsung SII because if you dont have an iphone, you dont have an iphone.
