iphone 4 with ios 5 using straight talk and cannot access safari or some apps on 3G ?

Ok ive been using wifi since ive got straight talk, since there cap is 2gb and under sometimes for 3g , well i was on 3g and tried to use the internet and it just wont connect, it eventually says cannot open page safari could not open the page because the server stopped responding, i dont know if ever worked becase i never used 3g on the iphone ,everywhere i go i use wifi, so does anybody know why its not working
