So now we officially know the date of the announcement, speculation turns to when and where the next iPhone will be released. MacRumors reports today on a story from Macotakara, which says that Apple may well be launching the next iPhone on October 14 in five countries: the United States, United Kingdom, France, Germany and Japan. Aside from citing several recent news stories that point to that date, MacRumors says that it seems that Macotakara also has further information from sources confirming the launch date and the five countries. MacRumors has just updated its story to say that The Next Web also has information to the effect that the next iPhone will be arriving in stores on October 14, with iOS 5 possibly being released for current devices on October 12. Certainly at the moment all signs are pointing to October 14.
