Tomorrow, Friday, January 13, the iPhone 4S will go on sale in China, and according to Fortune Techs Apple 2.0 blog, thousands are already queuing up on the streets in the freezing cold outside the Apple stores in major Chinese cities, waiting for the stores to open first thing so that they can go and grab themselves a new iPhone 4S. According to the report, China Unicom will start selling the iPhone 4S at midnight, which is eight hours earlier than the actual Apple stores, but it seems that the majority of customers prefer to buy the unlocked phones that are only available at the Apple retail stores, rather than the ones that are locked into China Unicom. In an effort to minimize queue-jumping and scalpers, Apple store employees have been issuing tickets to those brave and hardy souls who have been queuing up early. These are truly some dedicated Apple fans out there, as according to Tech Fortune, temperatures are due to fall to 3 degrees C in Shanghai overnight, and even lower in Beijing!
