iphone 4s block update

ok so I haven't updated my iPhone 4s but my settings icon has that annoying notification the red little circle.
how can I block the dl ? or get rid of the notification ?
or is there a way to upgrade and not lose jailbreak ?
or a hacked update ?

There isn't a Jailbreak for the 4S on iOS 5.1 yet. However, there is a Cydia Package you can load to get rid of the update badge on your settings icon. It's called "noOTA badge".
