iPhone 4S camera is not working correctly...any help appreciated.

Ok this is my issue. My 4S camera seems to work ok until I touch the icon to turn to use the front facing camera like to use snapchat. Then when it turns it's just a big blur. Then I touch the icon again to turn it back to the rear camera and it's still a blur and then turns black. I have to get completely out of the app and and leave it alone for a couple of minutes and then finally the rear camera works again. It also does the same thing in other apps such as messaging and Instagram.
Any and all help is greatly appreciated.
I have gone into a couple of thing in settings to try to fix it such as resetting it back to original settings and also restrictions and then camera but nothing has worked.

Sounds like a hardware issue with the front camera. I'd take it to your nearest Apple store and let them look at it. They can test it and verify if it is a hardware or software issue.
