Iphone 4s not connecting to cars ipod connection

iphone 4s is not connecting to my cars ipod connection, but my friends 4s does work and my old ipod works on it too. So this leads me to believe that my 4s has a problem or maybe i just setup something wrong.

Anyone know what can cause this?

Connection through Bluetooth or wire connection/car charger?

wire,
went to apple store, they said that one of the pins at the bottom are probably bad, getting a replacement!

Did that fix it?

My 4S wont connect to my car stereo either. Phone says "Charging is not supported" and the radio just says "No Song". Not sure if it has to do with the OS or the cable doesnt work with the 4S. Only suggestion I have seen was to hard reset the phone and reset the radio, but that didnt work. Would like to get this working to be able to listen to music off my phone on long road trips!!

I'm running 4.2.1 with green poison jailbreak, the phone connected fine for last 8 months now all of the sudden it won't connect through the cable in either of my vehicles. But it will connect to my home stereo any ideas??
