Iphone 4s not powering both speakers or headphones

In my car when i turn the radio on -music comes from both speakers . Not true for when I use my Ipod or Iphone with Grom-- Only the right speaker makes music.

Similar is true with my headphones and I have Senns the music just doesn't come through consistently. Yes the phone and Ipod are fully charged.

Why is this? Would an IPAD be better?

That sounds like a cable issue. I would try replacing the patch cable.

Check your auxiliary cord. This same thing happened to me and there was a short in the cord.

Ensure the plug is inserted fully into the headphone jack. If you are using a thick case, it may be preventing the plug from seating fully in the jack. Happened to me and I had to remove the case to get stereo.
