Iphone 4s trouble with itunes update

Hi, when I'm in I tunes on my PC, 10.7 it tells me my phone needs to be updated to 10.3 or later.
have spent 45 minutes trying to get the device button to show up. Finally did. Now how do I download
itunes latest version to my phone? only update I see is for IOS, not itunes. help?

Hi. I've read your post at least 6 times and I'm a new user myself. iTunes 10.7 is correct for your PC and I see you know that. What I'm wondering is where in the world you are seeing this message about 10.3?

Can you sort of walk me through how you get that message? I can't reproduce it. Is your phone plugged in when you see this? Also is there a reason why you don't update to the latest IOS?

when I opened itunes it said your phone needs to be updated to 10.3 or later. now I'm thinking maybe it said 10.6? of course now it isn't showing that message... I did update my phone to the latest IOS, but itunes still says i need latest version of itunes on my phone...do you think that's right? thanks for replying.

OK....I got you now. Should be in the app store. I'm surprised it doesn't tell you in your App Store that it doesn't show an update available.

Well, go to the app store and search iTunes. If there is an update, grab it. If not, then I don't know why you're getting that message. What's this thing about it won't sync? Does that happen when you get the message?
