iPhone 5 AT&T Mail App Problem! URGENT!!!

Ive got an iphone 5 and the mail app normally would show a blue status bar the the bottom to compose a new message. unfortunately, i cannot seem to find it anywhere on the iphone 5! i have a 4s as welll and its there!
Here is a picture of what the bar should look like.... i circled and drew an arrow to the bar.
i need help ASAP! my iphone 5 does not have that!

That symbol at the very bottom right that looks like a pencil on top of a piece of paper is the "New Message" button you need to tap.

no, what i am saying is i dont have that bar AT ALL on my iphone 5. this is a screenshot of my iphone 4s showing what bar i am talking about.

Please hold down the Stanby/Sleep button at the top of the phone and the home button at the front bottom at the same time. Hold them until a white Apple logo appears and then release the buttons. As soon as the phone finishes rebooting, please test and post your result.

it worked! thanks! i am normally really good at this stuff but this one had me stumped! lol.

No problem. When something goes that whacky, I find a hard reset usually clears it right up.
