Iphone 5 broken home button after battery replacement

Hi I replaced my battery on my iphone 5 and the home button now has stopped working. I tried changing the home button but still no joy.

I've worked on all models of iphone so I know my way round an iphone.

Does anyone out there know home to fix this problem?

Have you had any luck figuring this out? I replaced my battery and had the same problem with the home button not working. Replaced the home button ribbon and that didn't work. Thinking the new battery may be too big..

Hi csan705 it's component damage on the motherboard from either prying on the motherboard side or you have knocked a componant off when unclipping battery there's a few just below that. That's all I know so far. I'm still looking for a fix.
