After the iPad mini has been getting all the attention over the past few weeks, the iPhone 5 picks up momentum again this week with the news that it will be making its debut in several more countries, including the key territory of India, on November 2. AppleInsider reports that the news first broke via The Economic Times, which said that the iPhone 5 was actually supposed to launch in India last Friday, but the launch was put back one more week. Apparently preparations for the launch in India are already well under way, with Apple changing how it bills customers in the Indian iTunes and App Store from US dollars to Indian rupees. AppleInsider says that this will help developers in India as it is thought that customers will be more likely to download content from the App Store if they can pay with their own currency. As well as India, other countries thought to be getting the iPhone 5 on November 2 include Mexico, Greece, the Dominican Republic, Thailand, Bulgaria, Croatia, Malta and Romania. Following on from that, it is thought the iPhone 5 will then be launching in China in December.
