iphone 5 unresponsive after restore download interrupted

Hopefully someone can help.......
my son was trying to restore his jailbroke iphone 5 to original settings when the phone got stuck on apple logo screen. After researching I held the home button down while connecting to itunes to restore (power button broken). During the itunes download my pc decided it was full and stopped downloading which resulted in phone going blank and now will not do anything including showing a charge screen
Any advice will be greatly appreciated

Charge the iPhone for at least an hour.

Then try forcing the iPhone to restart. Apple says that's possible, even if the buttons don't respond. To force restart, press and hold Home and Power button at the same time for at least 10 seconds until you see the Apple logo. Let go of both buttons when you see it. The black screen should disappear.
