Since the 8.1 update I can no longer silence an incoming call or text by hitting the power or volume buttons. Hard reset fixes it for a day or so. I'm now running 8.4 and still have this issue. Anyone else with this issue?

I don't have this problem. Since you've already done a hard reset, it's possible that a restore would set things right. Just start up iTunes on your PC, then connect your iPhone. Create a backup of your phone, then do a reset, and choose to restore using the backup you created earlier.
Sometimes when you do an OTA update for iOS, occasionally some settings don't get set right or get corrupted. Doing the factory reset and restore usually corrects these kinds of problems.
