Just six hours after the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus were available to pre-order in China the three top carriers in that country reported orders of over one million, reports AppleInsider.

It is not yet clear whether or not the figures from China Mobile, China Telecom and China Unicom also include orders placed via the official Online Apple Store in China.

In Guangdong, China, a China Telecom spokesperson said that the three major carriers will be joined by over 6,700 authorised resellers who will also be able to sell the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus to their customers from launch day, which is next Friday, October 17 .

The publication that broke the initial story, Tencent News, also reported today that China Mobile looks set to received the lion’s share of iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus stock for China, with the carrier getting 6.5 million units of the new phones, representing more than 50% of the total supply destined for China on launch day.
