With App Store applications becoming more robust and requiring more storage space on iOS devices, the base-line 16GB iPhone is a bit of a joke. Most like think of the 16GB iPhone being aimed towards those who need an extra reason to buy up to the 64GB for $100 more.

While we thought that the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus would be the last time we would see the 16GB model, we might be wrong. 9to5Mac's Mark Gurman claims his sources tell him the iPhone models and pricing this year, will remain the same from the previous year. This means that this year's iPhone models will be offered at; $199/$299/$399 for the 16/64/128GB iPhone 6S and $299/$399/$499 for the 16/64/128GB iPhone 6S Plus.

I'm currently holding onto a 128GB iPhone 6 Plus, with a difficult time filling up all the space. It's a shame to see that the base-line model iPhone would be upgraded to 32GB or even 64GB. A 32GB iPhone 6S or 6S Plus would most likely be enough for the average user.

I will be hugely disappointed if there is no 32GB iPhone this year, For most 32gb would be perfect, not too little and not too much.
I have an iPhone 6 with 16GB at the moment and although this has been ok I would like a bit more, 64GB for me is too much and frankly I begrudge having to pay another £80 to get more space.
