Iphone 6S constantly restarting: world wide problem Apple advises

hello, I have a problem with both my ipad air (1) and my iphone. They are both constantly restarting. I have done a hard reset on both but no change. The problem appeared this morning, last night there were no issues. I have removed three recent updates but no change. I have been able to backup both devices by restarting each time it turned off and am at the point of restoring them both but thought I would check here first.
appreciate any advice.

Disable notifications for apps that send reminders. Then set your date to a day before December 2. That should help.

Apple released iOS 11.2 today. It looks like this fixes the bug. So if possible, update to that version.
