According to a new report from Piper Jaffray’s Gene Munster, via AppleInsider, it looks as though Apple are doing a great job of keeping supplies of the iPhone 6s ticking over.
After polling 54 Apple stores in New York, Florida, and Texas, Munster found that 50% of 64GB iPhone 6s and 6s Plus models for AT&T and Verizon were available. This compares with 6% of iPhone 6 units a year ago, and 12.8% of iPhone 5s units two years ago.
Munster did find, however, that supply differs greatly according to the different models, with 93% of 64GB 6s units available, and just 7% of 6s Plus units being available.
Munster added that although some 6s models are shipping in 3 to 5 days in the Apple US online store, there’s a much longer wait for Plus models, which are taking from 2 to 3 weeks to arrive. Even so, this is still a vast improvement on the situation following the launch of the iPhone 6 last year.
