9to5 Mac reports that the iPhone 7 has officially launched in India today, and Apple has also today announced more countries where the iPhone 7 and the Apple Watch Series 2 will soon be released.
The list starts with Israel, which will get both the iPhone 7 and the Apple Watch Series 2 on October 20; Jordan and Oman will get the iPhone 7 on October 15; Mauritius, Madagascar, Morocco, and Uganda will get the iPhone 7 on October 21; and Thailand will get both the iPhone 7 and Apple Watch Series 2 on October 21 also. South Korea is also rumoured to be another country where the iPhone 7 will be launching very soon, but Apple has yet to announce an official release date, although there have been some recent rumours that it will be October 21.
Mashable reports that one unusual aspect of the iPhone 7 launch in India today (where Apple still does not have its own official retail stores) is that the phone did not go on sale until 7 p.m. in the evening, rather than at midnight, and apparently many of Apple’s official third-party retailers did not receive their inventory until the afternoon.
