Hey Hologram, I find that there is more an "open market" of games available on Android but the iPhone has the better quality games and apps. I find that the android just is different but I prefer quality over quantity.

I you were playing a website based game, I don't see why an Android phone couldn't play the game with a player using an iPhone.

This is because the iPhone runs on a completely different programming language than Android. That is like someone who speaks only English talking with someone who only understands Cantonese. The languages would become muddled and neither one could make that connection.

I did some checking and found several games that iPhones and android phones could play together over the Internet. Some games can even include PC and PS3 gamers as well. Have a look here. http://mashable.com/2011/11/25/iphone-android-multiplayer-games/

I admit my mistake in knowing that there were currently cross platfroms from iOS to Android, but the cost of a code of program to do it gets pretty pricey. From someone I know on Dev he said it would cost around $200 thousand but rough estimate and he isn't a programmer. But I am pretty confident that it would be expensive to write code that could cross communicate. Apple uses pretty sophisticated code for a reason and it is harder to Dev on iOS than PC which has a whole other code to its setup. Linux based OSs like Android, Red Hat, Ubuntu, and others are also easier to code for than the Apples iOS.
But I was wrong to the effect of not being able to cross platform a game. I am big enough to admit I was wrong.
