MacRumors reports that Apple has today topped the American Customer Satisfaction Index (ASCI) for mobile phones, having only just been included for the very first time. According to the report, the ASCI has recently expanded its mobile phone rankings to include the likes of Apple, Research in Motion, LG, and HTC for the first time ever. So, with the newly released rankings representing the first appearance for Apple, its very interesting to note that Apple comes straight in at the top, with a score of 83, beating out Nokia, LG, and HTC, who are all stuck in second place on 75. What makes Apples first-time feat even more impressive is the fact that its score of 83 represents the first time that a mobile phone company has ever earned more than 77 points in any of ASCIs surveys since 2004. With such a stellar result, its no surprise that the ASCI lauds the iPhone as a game changer when it comes to customer satisfaction. MacRumors notes that Apple regularly tops ACSI personal computer surveys, so its great to see the iPhone proving to be just as successful within its own category.
