iPhone deletes my contact's info.

My daughter's iPhone has been deleting all of her contact's phone numbers. She does not have it linked to any other address book. I have seen this issue reported on different blogs but have yet to see any reasons or solutions for this problem. Can anyone help with this issue?

I take it the iPhone is not jailbroken...? if not, the simplest route would a clean restore....it may be the firmware is corrupted which can easily be fixed with a restore....

Does this happen after every sync with itunes or randomly? If "sync contacts" is selected in itunes and those contacts is not on the pc,it will keep deleting them from the phone.

+1. Contacts synced with itunes that are not on the comp will be deleted.

No, the iPhone is not jailbroken. I don't think that we tried to sync it since she does not have any on her computer. Does I tunes sylnc contacts that are in your mail like gmail for instance to your phone? So that if she doesn't have any phone numbers in an email account, and the phone syncs with iTunes, then the contacts in her phone get deleted?
