Iphone in a case + hands free car kit?

Anybody have any idea if a hands free car kit will hold the phone while in a case or would it be too big? I am looking at getting this.

I use the belkin one I got from the apple store and it holds anycase

I use the CarFM from PDO. The clamps open wide enough to hold the iphone in a case.
