iphone not syncing with outlook

I am having problems syncing my phone with my outlook calender. I have recently changed my PC to windows 7 and changed my outlook to 2010 version.

I can add contacts/calender appointments from my outlook to my phone but it wont do it the other way around. So when I am out of the office and add a new contact/appointment it wont be in my outlook in the office.

I am connected and receive emails through 3g connection and I have selected the sync to outlook option in iTunes but still no look.

any other ideas?
