iPhone Register/unlock

Hey guys,

I've got an iPhone 4, originally from Switzerland. I do not know the network provider, as I bought the phone sim free brand new, unregistered.

How can i activate the phone, then unlock it. I cannot find anyway of activating it without a sim card from the original provider.
