I know this really doesn't prove anything and its mostly personal choice as to what you like. But this does shed a bit of light on why Apple decided not to bother with any predictive typing programs.

Yea I didn't like it on my HTC area, but my friend loves it on hi droid.

i had swype on the droid i had. i loved it. we need a version of it on iphone :) if yall hear of one will ya let me know? thanks.

i had it for my droid and for a while it was fun but then, maybe it was just me, but i seems like in the end it just get annoying and the regular keyboard is easier

I just like iphone.
but I'm an ipad user. I think iphone with its nice surface is more better than Swype, Blackberry, expecailly on watching videos.
And so many third parties develop applications for ipad, like "iFunia" supply ipad/iphone/ipod resources and ipad video converter for users. luckily, I have an change to try it out because I have an iphone.
You would buy one as me.

i loved the swipe on my 5800,but it really is better with a stylus
after a while you can get really fast with it

really? then you have to carry a little stylus around with you... that will never happen lol

I really liked Swype on my Droid. Once you get past the initial learning curve you can type really fast. If I could get it on my iPhone I would use it.

Yeah I love Swype but at the same time i want a phone that actually functions properly so i steer clear of any androids. And as the video shows the iPhone smokes the android anyways :)
