Iphone with ipad charger

Would it be bad to charge my iPhone with a iPad charger?

I believe the iPad charger has a higher amperage rating than the iPhones (1 amp) If that's the case I wouldn't recommend it but I'm sure apple will have come up with something to stop it causing damage...

Hmm. Sometimes I charge my phone with my iPad charger. I have no issues

Make sure it's a temp thing. I don't always charge off of it

It's fine to charge it with the iPad charger. Even though the iPad charger supplies more AMPS, the phone will only use what it needs.

It's never hurt my phone. Although I've only done it a handful of times !
