Iphone4 Speaker problems!!

have an iphone 1yr and a half old and the speaker has broken. I can hear people on calls but they cant hear me. Often all they can hear is a crackle. My sister has a brand new iphone 4s and is 1 day old and the microphone doesnt work at all!!! she cant even talk on it unless she puts it on loud speaker!! O2 have been terrible the phone is brand new and 2 weeks done the line shes still awaiting a new one!!!

Any way any ideas on my phone n cost of repair?

Sounds like your mic is broken, not your speaker.

It should be covered under warranty.

Warranties only cover 1 year.

got to ask as a founder member of 'KISS' (keep it simple stupid , have you tried a reboot as in hold the front springboard and off key until the phone shuts down, then re-start and try the mic.
