Is it necessary to create an apple id account with iCloud ???

Hi to all forum mates,

Is it necessary to create an apple id using the iCloud or can be created with others like
gmail?

If can be created by the both than than why with iCloud?? Is there any benefit in creating an account with iCloud?

If yes specify the difference between the both.

You can use other accounts for your Apple ID, it's not necessary to use an icloud.com email account. The Apple ID will be used for purchases in the App Store, for books in the iBooks Store, and music, movies, ringtones, series, ... in the iTunes Store.

You can use the same ID for iCloud, afaik. If you use iCloud, you have features such as backing up to iCloud, iCloud Drive, iCloud Photo Library, Safari will sync bookmarks, reading lists and passwords between your devices, Find my iPhone, and many others.

J.A. has it right. I use a gmail email fr my appleid. I use iCloud to backup my devices, make purchases, purchase music, purchase ringtones, etc..
