is this worth it?

Okay, so I broke my phone today, and I'm not eligible for an upgrade, so I'm just gonna buy a new one. I've been looking online for a good price and i found an AT&T one on amazon and it's like $100 cheaper than the Verizon. Here's the one I found on amazon. I'd prefer to buy on there because I've had bad experiences on eBay.

I have verizon though, so I wanted to know if it would be worth it to just buy the AT&T and jailbreak it or are there downsides?

GSM iPhone4s cannot be used on a CDMA network, the technology is entirely different.
