Italian Locked iphone

I have been offered an Italian locked iphone. Does anyone know it is possible to unlock this?

Locked to the carrier, or locked to iCloud?

It’s not possible to find a way around iCloud’s Activation Lock, so if that’s the case, refuse the offer.

If it’s locked to a carrier, you’d have to contact the provider, to get it unlocked. That’s the only one who can do this.

Thanks for the advice. When you say carrier would that be the network provider e.g 02, Vodaphone etc. Or someone else?

Yes, I was referring to the network provider/mobile network carrier.
