The first Apple Watch was unveiled at Apple's 2014 September event which took place on September 9th, 2014. This year's Apple Event, "It's Glowtime," is slated for September 9th, 2024, which is curiously taking place on the same day 10 years later. It should also be noted that September 9th is a Monday this year; the September iPhone event has historically always fallen on a Tuesday. Rumors were previously pointing to Tuesday, September 10th as the event day, and these rumors were from some of the most plugged-in reporters.
Could we see an iPhone X-esque Apple Watch 10th anniversary model announced? There were previous leaks that this year's Apple Watch would feature the first change to the band system, hinting at a major redesign of the product. There have also been leaks about a larger display, and a thinner chassis.
This typically iPhone-centric event may end up being more about the Apple Watch than in the past.
