itune account registeration

Hi guys. I'm not sure whether this is the correct section to post in.

How do i register an itune account without a credit card? The first time i register my account, there's an option to choose no credit card. However, when i actually tried to download those free apps, they need credit card details. How do i go about this? Thanks.

You need to create your account in the app store not the iTunes store. You can create a new account from your phone...
