Itunes app questions with ipad 1,2 and iphone 4

I've noticed on my iPads when I search for apps in the market if i run across one I already have it says "installed" but when I do the same on the iPhone 4 it dosent say that obviously because it's not on the iPhone yet so when I wanna download a app that I've paid for on the iPad dosent it still prompt me to buy it again if I wanna put it one the iPhone even though it's all the same iTunes account?

You shouldn't have to pay for the same app again. Just tap buy install and it will tell you that you have already purchase this app before. In the future with iOS 5 apps will get automatically to your iPhone if you purchase and install it to your iPad, so you will not need to download manually again to your iPhone.

Just make sure you are signed in to the same itunes account and you can download them again for free on up to 5 devices...
