can someone help me please.. my device just crash last nite and when i restore it, it updated to 4.2.8 and i cant seem to jb it. i used the sn0wbreeze and the ios 4.2.8 ipsw but everytime i tried to jb it on the beginning from sn0wbreeze it says ipsw is not valid.. am i doing it wrong or something?? can someone please help me so bad cuz ive been trying to jb it since last night and still no luck.. i really appreciate your help.. and thanks in advance ",)
Use the latest redsnow to jailbreak it. Find the ipsw iTunes downloaded to upgrade your iPhone at this location is your computer:
You should first allow hidden file to be showed, you can clic organize >folder and search options. in the popup wondow clic on tab "view" then mark "show hidden files, folders and drives" when that's done go to
C: user > username(your comp user name) > appData > Roaming > apple computer > iTunes > iPhone Softwarw Updates. In that folder you will find your the ipsw which was downloaded by itunes and used by itunes to upgrade your iOS. you can copy, NOT CUT the ipsw to another location like to your desktop. When you start redsnow and it arrive to step 2 browse to your desktop and find the ipsw there.
On a mac computer :
Home Folder/Library/Application Support/iTunes/iPod Firmware
Connect your device to your computer and rundown redsnow with windows xp sp3 compatibility mode and also you must have the admin privileges. When redsnow prompt to load the ipsw, browse to your desktop and load it to redsnow. Follow redsnow onscreen instructions.
What is your firmware version and what is your baseband version?

ohh its ok.. i already jb it using redsn0w.. finally lol it took me 1 day to jb it and now its finally working but thanks tho.. i appreciate ur help

I have a verizon iPhone with 4.2.8 and I jailbroke it and now every once in awhile it starts making a weird beeping noise about every three seconds and it won't stop unless I power off and on again. What is going on with my phone?
No other sign??? Notification? Only beeping?
Don't know which break you used, but I used snowbreeze. Maybe another breaking tool after resetting to stock.
I had to do that when I was trying to break mine for the first time on 4.2.6

No notifications, just beeping. It almost sounds like a low battery beep but the battery isn't low. I jailbroke with snowbreeze too. Should I rejailbreak?
