Hi all. How do I go about jailbreaking? Can someone walk me through this?

I used greenpoison to jailbrake my iPhone 4 it was really easy. First thing you should do is find out what software your iPhone is running then use YouTube and there will be a video to walk you step by step. ( read comments first ) if there is alot of people asking for help and saying there getting errors or it's not working find another video.

Thank u all very much for trying to help me out with this. My os is 4.2.6 & the modem firmware is 1.0.05. Any other information that you need? I'm getting a lot of conflicting advice regarding jailbreak. It's frustrating that I can't change my fonts & other things but I read that if I do jailbreak then the warranty on the phone is no good. I'm not really sure if I should go ahead and do it or just let it be.

U only void ur warranty if they find out. If for some reason u need to take it in, then plug it into iTunes let it sync and then press restore then u let it sync again and u got everything back on ur phone but jailbreak.

Courts ruled jailbreaking is legal. Legally they can't break contract or warranty.

You are able to restore the iOS with itunes to remove the jailbreak so that your warranty will still be valid. Restoring iOS with itunes remove all trace of jailbreak.

I might give it a shot and see what happens. One thing for sure though, my Blackberry was a heck of s lot easier. Especially for such a simple little thing like changing a font.

well this is good to know cause i might need to take it in,(restoring back to stock). sorry if this might change subject but it's regarding jailbreak. Since i jb my phone it's been freezing up,re-booting on it'd on anyone else had this problem?? i'm still on 4.2.6 1.0.05 firmware. appreciate any feed..
