Jailbreaking a not activated iphone 4S

I have bought an iPhone 4S which is AT&T locked, im not from the US so i cant really use it yet and im still searching on how i could unlock and jailbreak it. I have been trying to JB it using absinthe but i cant get past the "beginning jb", i think it must be because my iphone is not activated and i cant activate it because i dont have the proper sim card. Is there anyway to address this problem?

well you can jailbreak using absinthe but there is no way to unlock it

Can you please explain how to Jailbreak Unactivated iPhone 4S using absinthe ? The Absinthe hangs on "Beginning JailBreak ... "
