jailbreaking question

I have a 3gs and it was jailbroken using jailbreakme.com a long time ago. Im still using 3.1.3 . I would like to upgrade to IOS5 but I dont want to loose all the stuff that i added to it from installus mainly angry birds and tomtom. If i upgrade to newer software will i loose all my installed programs? If so is there a way to get them back without having to (in the case of angry birds) replay all the levels.

As for updating id leave it alone for now unless u plan on moving to a tethered jailbreak (if u are unaware of what that means google it) and as for the pirated app thing, that is piracy and against the forum rules so if thats your thing this is probably not the forum for you (not mad just saying)
