Hi guys,

I have jail broken my iPhone 4 device ios6 firmware, and ever since I have jailbroken it I hardly have reception so when someone calls me It starts cutting out what can I do to prevent this from happening?

Check for carrier updates.

After restoring from backup via iTunes a dialog box popped up on iTunes about carrier update available. I clicked ok and it said carrier settings updated. How do I know this was applied to my I5?

As long as there isn't an error that crops up at the end, it's updated. Carrier updates are something like 5-10KB on average, so it takes a fraction of a second to update, nothing major but can make a difference in reception and such.
