Killed My Mobile Me Email Account; Can I reopen it?

A while back I had a Mobile Me account, and thus a corresponding Mobile me email account. When everything migrated to iCloud, I still had the Mobile Me email account on my phone and iPad, along with a new iCloud email account, a Gmail account and a Home email account. Recently, due to the infrequency of getting messages in the old Mobile Me email account, I deleted that account from my iPhone and iPad. Today, however, I wonder if that was a smart idea as it is conceivable that I might get a message to that account and now never become aware of the message. I hoped (but failed to test this hope) that anything sent to the Mobile Me email account would automatically be re-routed to the iCloud account. When I tested this hope, I found that NOT to be the case.

Is there a way to re-install that account on at least my iPhone?
