According to a fresh set of leaked photos coming from 9to5Mac, it seems that the next-generation iPhone will retain the same exterior design as the iPhone 6, but will feature some important internal changes.
9to5Mac claims that the rear shell is identical to the iPhone 6 on the outside, coming with the same thickness and width. The leaked photos (you can see more in the thread from below) reveal that the Lightning connector, speakers, microphones, headphone jack, volume rocker, mute button, sleep/wake button, SIM card slot, antenna lines and cutout for the rear-facing camera and LED flash are all identical to the iPhone 6.
However, it seems that the rear shell has a different internal mounting structure which could point to a new logic board and new or revamped components. The main features that the iPhone 6S is rumored to get are - an A9 processor with 2GB of RAM, Force Touch, 7000 Series aluminum and improved 12-megapixel camera.
