lego harry potter years 1-4: year 2

I'm at the part where i need to collect ingredients for the skelegro potion and I'm stuck on the spot in the garden where there is what looks like a little jumping watermelon that keeps jumping into the ground everytime i get near it. Am i supposed to get the watermelon? If so, how? I don't know how to get past this.
