Lost all music & downloaded Apps after downloading OS 5.0.1 on 3Gs

Hi
Downloaded the new OS today and when opening music on the phone it is empty. Also empty on the itunes library as far as I can see

I looked in an itunes library on an older laptop using Vista home basic and pretty much all the music is there as is on the ipod classic-
As far as I am aware I cannot use vista basic any longer with itunes which prompted me to by a new laptop with Windows 7

Please help there were thousands of songs here

Did you authorise the iphone for the computer? afaik you can you vista just not windows xp so as long as you are authorised and you restore to a backup then all the files will re appear, but next time you can perform air updates and you will update to a state where you dont have to restore to a backup and just have all of your files there how it was before the update

I authorised for icloud ( I think )
I guess thats what you get for not concentrating and trying to do the update in the background

One problem with Vista is that itunes does not see the iphone.

Is there a way to get the library on the old computer onto the new ?

If you are using icloud you can easily retrieve your files from there
