Mail App Receipt Request

Have a friend that tells me any email he receives with a receipt request is automatically deleted by his Cincinnati Fuse account.

I can figure out how to turn the request off on the iphone 4 or at Verizon.net.

Has anyone else had this problem and how to solve it??
