Dear Friends,

Has anyone noticed that the iPhone always delivers emails in plain text. At the end of the email there is a large button asking to download full message. When done it converts to HTML. Has anyone figures out a solution to stop this unnecessary extra effort of downloading the ffull mil. Is there any setting we missed in the iPhone to make mails display in HTML by default an also download the full mail.

Thanks.

All my mail comes in as HTML. So lets start with the basics. What type of email account is it?

Well I have my CO. mail along with Yahoo, Hotmail, iCloud, etc.
I found this problem with my Gmail account where I have to always download the full mail to get the HTML format. Other accounts suffer sometimes.
Thanks.

Ok, lets start with Gmail then.

Gmail can be fetched using one of two methods in the iOS Mail application. I personally use the Exchange method as I find it more reliable and it supports push mail properly. So if you don't mind, please look at these instructions Set up Google Sync with your iOS device - Gmail Help to see if you already have your Gmail setup this way. If you haven't I would highly recommend you do that first.

I have already opened the gmail account in Exchange format.
Well is there a limit for the mail to be downloaded as bigger mails have to be downloaded irrespective of the mail format or account.
Thanks.

For you to hit that condition the email would have to have well over a megabyte of data to display. Which is technically possible but dang, what kind of emails are you getting if that is happening????

Check the below screenshot where it says that the mail is partially downloaded. This mail is in iCloud.

So glad you posted that screen capture. The most interesting thing I noticed is the email count. I wonder if you are simply running out of storage space for the email app to download everything. I need to research how much storage space the Apple Email app has allocated.

Ok. So u mean to say that I have to reduce the mails on display. But I still have 7.1GB FREE.
But as u mentioned I think there might be a certain limit which might have exceeded.

Thanks Buddy..!!

Dear friend,

As discussed please find the screenshots of the mails settings.

I am using the lowest count but I think something is wrong as it didn't use to show so many mails.
