Mail won’t fetch

My mail app won’t fetch new emails. I have it set to push, and fetch to automatic. I have Comcast and Gmail accounts, all have this issue.

I have attached photos of my settings. Any thoughts?

Try selecting a time interval, ie hourly.

I tried selecting 15 minutes, that did not seem to work either.

I’ll test it again real quick to be sure.

Ok, if I select 15 minutes it does work.

Does this tell us anything? Or am I just too impatient? [emoji23]

I think, and may be wrong, but push is initiated by the server when mail arrives on it while fetch is initiated by your device at set intervals. Which you use depends on what you want/need.

It also depends on what's available. Sometimes "Push" isn’t.
