Make computer ring when phone does

Hey guys =)

My grandmother recently bought an iphone and never picks the damn thing up when im trying to call her! I know she's ignoring me and is just on the computer...

I want to make the computer ring or do something noticeable (and hopefully embarrassing!) that will give her no excuse to say I couldn't hear my phone or it was on silent.

Is there any way to do this or perhaps an app that allows for this? Maybe it's only possible while connected to the computers wifi, that doesn't matter.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Please refrain from creating duplicate Threads/Posts regarding the same inquiry. As for your question... I honestly don't think that anything like this exists. Perhaps one of our other members may have an idea of something that'll work for ya.

Sorry, I wasn't sure which forum it belonged under and I just figured it would be best to let you delete the duplicate.
It's a shame it doesn't exist, seems like someone a lot of people could use.

No worries... that's what we're here for.

I can definitely see where it would come in handy. Unfortunately, I've never heard of anything that'll fufill the function... Jailbroken or Stock.

FreeVNC I believe would work. Just make sure that the audio is also synced.

Just to clarify, willerz2... for the OP, is FreeVNC an App Store app or a Jailbreak Tweak?

It's RealVNC not FreeVNC. That's the computer component. There was an old app from the AppStore I believe was called TrueVNC or something. I believe they removed it a while ago from the lack of updates and it wasn't as big a hit. It costed about $5 to create a VPN on your iPhone and you would use Wifi/3G/hardwire to connect to the device for that app. I'll have to double check on that on my old 3GS.

Veency is available from Cydia on jailbroken devices to create a VPN on your device. You'd have to sync the audio as well if you want her to answer your calls using her PC. Otherwise, it'll only pop up a message saying you have a call and she'd need to pick up the phone physically to answer.

Both the VNC terminal for the PC and Veency are free, but again does require a jailbreak to use.
